One of the most important problems of practical activity is to estimate uncertainty of quantitive characteristics of objects of investigation when data are incomplete. In the lecture many different estimates of uncertainty in function theory, harmonic analysis, differential equations, geometry and some other branches of mathematics are demonstrated.
